Hardmatch's blog

Pre-vacation update: February 19, 2018

It’s a big day for any of you that are still following and subjecting you to my blogs. This is the last one from me before I head out of town for six weeks.

I have worked out each weekday since January 5. I’ve increased the amount of cardio and slightly increased the weights. I’m looking better in the mirror and the clothes are fitting better. I haven’t gotten the camera out recently but I might try and do that while I’m away.

I can’t say there’s been a huge shift in weight or body fat % but the cardio has really improved and I am feeling stronger. I just need opponents to test this all out!

Weight: 174.5 lbs
Body Fat %: 29.5

Well done and glad for your progress. It's the clothes that matter - they're telling you what's happened. You're going to enjoy the break all the more.

Enjoy your vacation. You deserve a break. I'm sure you will continue to do a lot of walking while doing the tourist thing.

Bon Voyage, enjoy yourself. Be safe.

Very inspirational & fully understand your rationale.
Hope it kick starts me into similar although I`ve got a much bigger challenge to face.
Good Luck to you.

The first week is the hardest. Once you start to develop a routine it does get easier. To be honest, resist the urge to step on the scale a lot. You’ll know things are improving when the clothes fit better and you can see the improvements in the mirror.

Thanks mate.
So much of your avoiding exercise in the past resonates with me(countless lost opportunities including paying for gyms I didnt use) and its time to take the bull by the horns!
Sick of buying shirts & trousers in bigger sizes and as have just started wrestling I want to be more confident in my personal appearance & match stamina.
Will follow your progress with interest

It has obviously been more than two years since this last blog. What you percentage of fat is now has to be substantially better, given the first photo seen on your profile page. Whether it is or not, I think this shows a not insignificant degree of dedication to improving yourself, specifically in your physique and presumably overall diet.

I would be a bit surprised if your skills in fighting hadn't improved, too. If nothing else by sheer experience over time. The number of matches speaks highly to your willingness to stay active, and the variety of opponents also says a lot about challenges you've taken on. The latter is remarkable in terms of stats of opponents. Bravo!

If I had the opportunity to be "tutored" by you, I would consider it a marvelous. I would assume that my experience (or more particularly lack of it in relation to you would be of no importance. In short, one can win by losing if one can learn from the experience.

I hope you continue to participate on this site. I am glad to be back myself after a two or so year hiatus.
