Im a straight guy. I box, kickbox and gut punch with a long time gay best friend and two younger Bi friends. They respect my way of life and I dont condem or disrespect their way of life When we are all together and tbings get erotic, and they do, i usually leave my own barn, and they do whatever they do without me. i dont have any issues with it. I workout with, train and body punch inshape gay and Bi men and women. I dont give it a thought. They are with me to enhance their combat skills and to help get their body hard. Its no big deal.
No more than 10 minutes after making my last post, a guy want pictures of my ass. Told him I don't have a 'butt-cam' installed in my toilet. However that might be the next craze in the plumbing/.home-improvement industry. Now what does my ass have to do with wrestling? I don't get crap like that from you straight guys.
To be fair, if I'm going to knock a guy down on his ass, I want to know he'll be cushioned.
Yeah, I get what you're saying in all seriousness though.
It's not so much about sexuality but the person though. Generalizing scares me a little. I just take each person as they come. Whenever I've assumed anything I've always been wrong anyway.
Straight, gay, whatever. The big problem is finding enough guys to wrestle/grapple with, unless you can/will pay the big bucks to go to a commercial facility, where there is the added benefit of classes..
I find the straight (mostly straight) guys (1) less likely to play cat and mouse games prior to committing to meet up; (2) more likely to want to have a go at it as soon as they arrive (3) usually more intense with holds, strikes, take downs, throws, whatever (4) care less about how you look, one's age, or about how fancy your house looks.
This is one area where I wish my fellow gay men could act more like the [mostly] straight guys would be like. Unfortunately my sample size is woefully too small to be able to project these findings to the general population at either the 1.64 or 1.96 sigma :) C'mon guys, take me on; so I have a sample size large enough to be able to draw some statistically significant conclusions
I'll take on just about any guy–gay, "straight," bi, a, post sexual–and one's looks, social and economic status, etc do not matter. Just be clean, safe, fun, and respect limits.
No need to apologize for anything. You need apologize for anything you might possibly have done against somebody. I noted above, the sample size is too small to draw any conclusions which could hold up to standard tests of statistical significance. It also makes no inferences how the historical mistreatment of the LGBT population could have created or exacerbated some of the type of behavior noted above
Spruceman, I think I know you pretty good. My perception is that these guys who refuse to meet with you have an ego, confidence and a self esteem issue, because they would NOT be able to emotionally stand if they were destroyed by an older combatant. Don’t you agee ?
Yes, Radner, you hit the nail on the head-----My instincts do tell me that; but saying that 'for the record' could lead others to believe I am being so egoistic for thinking/saying that. Naw–would never be like that :)
OTOH!!!!!! Let's face it, my own ego had me high as a kite for days after I "owned" those twenty somethings at around the time of my seventy-fifth birthday–[They were the curious mainly mostly from other sites, but, nonetheless, in their 20s] -or when (as described in a blog entry) that middle-age guy pre-match boasted how he was going to own me due to MY age in the opening seconds; and I turned the table on him in those opening seconds, owned him on the mats for an hour, and I had to be concerned if he was about to have a coronary trying his dirtiest damndest to save his ego. His ageist pre-match talk unleashed that "Id Monster" in me [c.f. movie "Forbidden Planet"]
I won't injure a guy; but ageist talk before or during a match will make me go at it with twice the gusto than otherwise. Never gone 'all out' on a guy; because I feel there's no need to further enrichen the doctors, dentists, lawyers, and undertakers in the world---"All-out" is reserved or literal self defense out there in the real world. :) How's that for ego? :) :) Reckon I'll get some juicy replies on this one – maybe entice someone to take me on to try to prove me wrong. Good.; but stay tuned for when I turn 80 .
I totally agree that reparations or compensation for past issues unrelated to you and a gay guy when mano a mano is inappropriate. I can't believe somebody tried to pull that on you?
I agree to this 100%. As someone who took BJJ classes, and was older than almost all in the class, it was amazing how much more open and willing to roll with you.
Oh yeah, the gay or straight has nothing to do with style, strength, skill, or aggressiveness. You find guys at all levels and abilities - gay or straight.
totally agree! if you want to wrestle or fight and agree rules/limits etc then does it matter? not to me and most guys I know who like to wrestle and fight are not bothered either way it's the actual combat that matters!
I am gay, and totally open to meeting guys if any persuasion. Everyone has their limits, and always adhere to whatever limits my opponent has. And my experience is that the straight guys I've meet on here have been the coolest. Where else can you find a straight guy who is perfectly fine with getting physical and invading personal space with a gay guy in a good grapple (whether it's erotic or not).
As a gay guy I am biased; am always disappointed when a dude won't bitch slap with me. But as to why? Straight men who are into this sort of combat as a veiled sex act cannot admit to themselves they are actually gay and resist all temptations to "cross over" which includes bitch slapping.
I wrestle because I find it erotic - but when it comes to the actual fight it doesn't really matter (to me anyway) whether my opponent is sleight or gay. At the end of the match - well that is different but I will never make advanced to someone I know is not interested.
I find that I miss out on wrestling some guys because I'm straight, but that is their choice not mine.
Everyone I have wrestled from this site knows if you come to wrestle me then wrestle me. However as long as both guys are happy with the Bout does sexuality make any difference?
To be honest if wrestling competatively there should be no difference wrestling either a straight or gay guy as the aim is to win or do your best. I have had some fantastic matches against straight guys.

12/24/2017 6:14 PMLet's get real. Of the gays open enough to tell me why they don't want to take me on, it's primarily due to lack of sex appeal.
