Bar Champ

hey wrestling bros...need to follow-up on my bar champ blog cause part is true/part is fiction/fantasy. True:was 18yr,badass, still am,did go to pro cards, met dude Joe, did wrestle a kid named Stormy that night and did and still do prvt setup matches. The bar champ however was Joe not me..though would have loved to wrestle in bar.Joe told me back in around 79-80 there was a bar in Miami think called Ramrod and started a night for wrestling where he got into some matches..had a makeshift small ring setup and had dudes sign up to fight. Hope some day find a place that has bar night wrestling..anyone know of place let me know..

Always been a wrestling nut since HS. Living in Miami went to every pro card that came around. Was 18 at time and thought I was badass and would look for dudes in crowd to challenge me to match......one time met a older dude at intermission and over a beer we chatted about wrestling and how I was always up for fights. He invited me to a club in Miami after matches for a few drinks. Said I might like the place. Turned out to be a leather club and walking in I see a makeshift ring and 2 dudes in jocks battling. Dude smiled at my reaction and said thought I wouild like this place. We got a few beers and watched the rest of the match. It was one-sided..dude that won turned out to be the bars champ who wrestled all comers twice a week at club. Joe, the dude who brought meet asked me if I think I could take this kid. Hell yea, think I could. Well Joe introduced me to bar manager and next thing I know am behind curtain stripping down to a jock they gave me and waited while they announced me as challenge to wrestle Stormy the bar champ. I came out and was a little nervous at first..never wrestled in front of lot of dudes before..climbed into ring shook hands with Stormy and waited for bell. Circling around waiting to lock up Stormy smirks at me and says lets see what u got boi...well brought it to him and went at it. He was strong dude and knew his shit had me tied up a lot only thing that helped me was my size had about 15lbs on him.Terms of match were 5 min rounds, 2 min rest. Went 4 rounds to draw. Was getting a little winded and sweating a storm going into round 5. Joe came to my corner and said if u can take him out and win ....u new champ and u get to wrestle all comers.....thats what u looking for right?? Nodded to him and said thanks for bringing me here and when bell rang for round 5 decided time to take him down. Got a chance and locked Stormy up in a full frontal bearhug with his arms locked in and it was all over in a few minutes when he gave up. Manager of bar came up and raised my hand to cheers of guys was really cool. Stormy came over and shook my hand and said u one bad ass..good luck. I wrestled as champ for almost a year after that before I lost match to a kid from Jamaica that was a big dude who just manhandled me. I met some great guys during that time and had some hot fights at bar and also hooked up with some guys who did prvt setup matches....still wrestling for em now and then. Still think am bad ass like was at 18 and am always ready to battle any muscle that thinks they can take me down.

same here, aint found too many like this place now a days..guess worried about dudes getting hurt. A buddy and me been thinking bout saving some cash and try and lease out a small bar and offer dudes into wrestling place to come and fight. Maybe Chicago or down in Miami area. Hire ayoung muscled dude to act as champ andgo from there. We both into wrestling may be one of us. Make club strictley for dudes into wrestling/fighting...set up flat top screens showing matches pro, HS, other vids..etc. Open to all dudes,str8,gay,Bi. What about club in London called The Eagle..heard they have a wrestling night??

Yes thats right. I have heard of that place in London too. But up here in Liverpool there aint none.

It should be made law that all gay bars have to have a fighting section ha ha
