Also just noticed something, while doing a search for people in manc I came accross a profile and I noticed one of the admins has put a non-recommendation (-1) on a persons profile for using 4 multiple account, which relates to the given person in this topic....I'm not stating profile names :-) Now I can see the admins fair right to allow someone to block, but this person is setting up constant fake accounts, is that not an issue to be dealt with? Also the given person actually sent me very abusive language via another well known profile site. Now I am happy not to bother with this, but my worry is this person clearly has issues, and yes that is a personal judgement
I am unhappy with the very existence of a blocking feature. See, when the original maintainer of this site set out to create this site, he envisioned it would be used by grownups who could settle their differences in a civil manner, or better yet, on the mats. He was young and naive then. What happened next was that childish feuds that started on other sites (sites that had a blocking feature) started to spill over to AllFighters (as the site was called back then). And the stalkers. Oh god, the stalkers who can just not take no for an answer.
I was stalked once online, and let me tell you, it is not a pleasant experience.
So, human nature being the way it is, blocking is necessary for websites. Sad but true. Like every features, blocking can be abused, although I fail to see the real issue here. So a guy blocked you. Big deal. You don't need him! Good riddance! :)
Well, I must be honest & say I have been blocked by [this part removed – Admin], contacted him & agreed to meet when I visited later in the year & for no apparent reason one day he just blocked me ! Now from my point of view, if someone is not interested in one then fine, just say so & 99% will say, FINE & NO PROBLEM (me +++) & that is the end of the matter, but personally I find it very disrespectful, but I suppose we all have manners on a variety of levels. Onwards & Upwards.
Innocent question, Admin: Just out of idle curiosity, was the "young and naive" "original maintainer of this site" none other than your younger self? Just askin'.
Sounds like we're being told to Get Over It guys, sorry. Was just asking why you would come onto a site and then start blocking every guy that said hi or obviously from below not even get that chance.
Maybe we should remove blocking and find another system but I am sure the experts know better so I won't say anymore on the subject.
Can't imagine why anyone would want to block wolfric but I too have been blocked by manchesterpain without having chatted to him in so far as I can remember! Not a major issue at all but still...
I was blocked by someone after i looked at their profile, that was before i had even put my photos on so at least I didn't think it was because of my hideous body, must have just been my hideous personality if he read my profile. i must admit to being slightly peeved as all i wanted to do was enjoy his very hot profile picture. Sorry i fight my shallow side but sometimes it just goes too deep. Couldn't a block be set so i can't send messages but still get to leer? Sorry, i know there are plenty of other sites for looking at bodies, working hard on becoming deeper but every day is a battle.
Hi Wolric, if someone has blocked you for no good reason you can always look on the site at 'who blocks the most?' Usually you will find as in the case you cite above that the person concerned has blocked lots of people. I definitely wouldn't take it to heart, just count yourself lucky to avoid them.
He obviously has a very specific focus and this is his way of filtering. A bit extreme to most of us, but it hardly affects us too adversely. Yes, it would be nicer if some people could be a bit more polite online, but social skills often go down the pan when a certain type of person logs onto the internet.
Look at this way, he's saving YOU the bother of having too interact with HIM also!
A pretty boring topic but wanted to understand why someone would block so many people. Are we all freaks in this guys eyes ?
A few months months i tried to say hi to a guy in chat. Now I don't expect to be everyones type or match but a Sorry not intereested or i am busy right now is just cool with me. Too Old and experienced to be offended plus I get enough meets that I don't have to go on at a guy. However, I notice this week that the very same guy has blocked 350+ members of the site. Why would you come onto a wrestling site then block 30% (approx) of its membership. Your thoughts me friends!!!

Admin is right but I agree with your centiments.
Here is an idea to control blocking
1) if you have blocked more than 25 profiles then you have to justify your actions to admin or a moderator. You would unlikely have 25 stalkers.
2) if you have been blocked by more than 20 people then the same happens. There is obviously a problem here
Thoughts anyone?

I agree totally with Mark, there should be admin mechanism to police "RUDE IDIOTS".

Except I just explained in great detail why we cannot remove blocking. I will stop posting now.
