I went to a few wrestling classes and I never got a stiffy while there because you are too busy learning moves or defending yourself.
I would have had a naked oil fuck fight with all of them but never had that urge while there.
Go for it and make friends and learn some techniques, you never know someone may ask you back to their place to do some 'extra grappling'
I think this is a common fear. My advice would be to make sure you are going for the right reasons (to learn a sport and not just get horn and roll with guys). Grappling in a club is very different and my experience (I had similar fears) is you are focusing so much on learning technique, watching others etc that you don't get aroused. However if worried wear a cup and then you have the protection down below that is recommended and also if you get hard no one will know.
With boxing again you are focusing on skill and not getting hit.
I've done both and only twice did I feel a movement down below when watching, but it went quick enough and certainly nothing that would notice
Well I work regularly with straight guys as I run a boxing gym. You have to find a gym that is right for you and then control yourself... Separate the two if you want to learn to box.
A couple of times I've been boxing and ended up feeling a bit of movement when I've ended up in clinches, but mainly you end up in "flight or fight" mode too much for the idea of sex to occur.
Try a beginners boxing class (with women in them!) and see how you get on. Take my advice before you go though.
Ok just for a reference point I am a gay guy who finds fighting to be a sexual turn on. I know there are MANY like me on this site, but not everyone. I'm curious if anyone like me has ever gone to a real boxing or mma gym and taken classes with other, uh, normal fighters (meaning mostly straight guys who don't view it as a sexual thing)? I would like to train properly with other fighters but I'm afraid it might be awkward if they sense I'm getting turned on by it or if god forbid I got a boner or something (which is not unlikely). I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to hide my excitement and arousal. Anybody have experience with such a situation and if so, what was it like for you?

Straight guys don't need someone like you going along and muddying the water for them.
