I'm off on hols February 2013 and hoping to bump into some guys to grapple while I'm there. I'm not too optimistic about my chances of finding someone with their own mats over there, so I'm wondering if anyone has been there and had a wrestle on the beach?
I've never fought on sand before, are there any hidden hazards? Like sharp shells or whatever? And are the local coppers liable to cart us off to a cell for disturbing the peace while everyone is trying to top up their tans? Maybe there are some secluded bits of sand we could use...
In my experience fighting on dry sand is a bit of a nightmare - it gets in your eyes and other places and is quite abrasive. You won't be short of places to wrestle on the beach in Gran Canaria (well, the dunes at least).
