Personally I don’t think anything penetrative should be confirmed before meeting, not just because soo many here are using out of date photos also it’s one thing meeting a guy it’s quite another to suddenly decide to get penetrated for he pulls out a weapon the size of a club
"Wrestle for top" SHOULD mean - and I'm saying this from experience - that the winner penetrates the loser, no matter what sex or orientation you are. That could be man vs woman, woman vs woman and man vs man. It also denotes sexual dominance and bragging rights.
That being said, one should always, ALWAYS clarify what they want before a match. Otherwise, there will be hard feelings and maybe a lawsuit or two due to people who don't read the fine print.
Bottom line - wrestling should be enjoyable and educational. Unfortunately, there are a lot of guys out there who will be manipulative and disingenuous in order to get their sexual satisfaction at your expense. Just be vigilant!
I wrestle for top when I am turned on by the guy I am wrestling and he wants that too, but always with the caveat that we need to meet in person to see what the chemistry is. You can't always be sure of the chemistry from some online pic.
Wrestling for top means sexually topping. You could of course wrestle for dominance, but top is a specific thing. It just confuses things when you give it a second meaning. It’s honestly pretty frustrating when you see a profile with both “wrestle for top” and “don’t want sex.”
I would agree with this... if it was wrestling for dominance it would apply to every match, this is kinda what wrestling is, fighting to pin, submit the other!
I always chuckle when I see "Wrestle for top" (and other sexual activity) followed by "No Sex"
When I see all the other options selected and then "no sex", it's due to that person wanting to do everything but penetration. They still want the erotic tones without crossing that line. And if you ask a jobber to wrestle, they aren't trying to win as more than playing a role so the heel can top and dominate them.
FYI, in some circles, top means tongue on penis / pussy. Was at a "party" where a guy kept saying it to every girl he walked up to. When some of the gay males approached him, he had to explain himself and stopped saying the word that night.
But that is exactly what those two options together would mean. A lot of men on here don't want penetration but will frot / grind all day on top of their opponent. Since the site wasn't suppose to be a sex site first, you have to have the option available to be as inclusive as possible. I've had plenty of bouts where no stakes or sexual tones were exchanged and it still ended in the more dominant person cumming out on top. It's the same as the notion of a bottom being a submissive when most times, a "bottom" can actually control a top in the right situations. Either way, that's why it's best for everyone to discuss there match rules and options before meeting.
I think you misunderstood my comment a bit. Obviously, people can do whatever they want, and yes, plenty of people enjoy wrestling competitively without penetrative sex. Everyone should discuss their interests before meeting. I’m talking about a definition of a term and trying to avoid confusion by changing its definition. And it’s not more or less inclusive to do that. Being a top does not literally mean being on top. Being on bottom does not literally mean being on bottom. And I would say a sub and bottom are two different things.
If you want to convey wrestling for domination, I think marking competitive and stakes without marking wrestle for top more than gets that message across.
Though a suggestion I would make for admins is to add a check box for “wrestle for dominance.” I think that would help clear up the confusion.
There has been confusion for over 20 years. “Top”
“Bottom” have clear meanings in the gay world.
Guys may get it confused in the beginning of their experience, but I bet only once!
I understand and tha goes with my request where I asked the admins to create a guy puncher icon instead of people using the boxing one. Their response was, in short, a punching sport is a punching sport, and to use the sub categories to filter. So, now, when I look up Boxers, I still need to sort through all of the gp only members as there is no way to filter them out of the results.

Situations change and consent is all.

11/12/2022 19:52It can be a sexual top or top as in dominant. All comes down to the context of the agreed match style and outcomes.

That’s a great example of why it’s not a good idea to change definitions. It causes confusion.
