Dear Chris is Seattle,
What an unalloyed joy to discover your training videos. Your explanations and running commentary as you apply the moves are exemplary in their clarity. To your precise, clear cut demonstrations of various techniques you also bring a straightforwardness and genuinely caring and welcoming way of reaching out to all of us in the community who want to improve our wrestling /Bjj skill.
And as for your blanket partner he is exemplary in his stoicism.
So thank you to both of you. My rolled coverlet and I will start following your classes from tomorrow.
Yves
At the start of the quarantine I started a project meant to help lesser experienced wrestlers grow into more skilled wrestlers and have focused my efforts on what you can learn without a rolling partner. Since then my efforts have produced almost two hundred videos on youtube which cover no-gi bjj based submission wrestling techniques, some gi techniques, striking, nutrition, exercise science (I'm a personal trainer), exercise technique, drills, and I've even started on the basics of cooking.
I've also started a facebook group and telegram chat to help grow a sense of community. Granted, at this point I'm struggling to get the facebook group active but the telegram chat is actually doing pretty well in picking up.
This may seem like self promotion here but I am not being compensated for anything I've done and don't currently have any plans to change that. My goal has been to bring this community together and share ideas. I would love to have more contributors for the youtube channel especially from people who hold a higher rank than I do and especially those who practice other disciplines like pro, collegiate, judo, sambo, etc. All are welcome provided that we are respectful to one another. So far I've only had to ban one guy for being racist and fat shaming.
I don't care if you join with nothing to offer, the fb group has 3 joining questions which are geared toward just finding out if you are looking to be part of that community. The goal is for you to benefit from the resources provided and/or to become one of those resources yourself.
