Have a look at www.catzclub.co.uk/mixed-sessions.php for me and a couple of other girls that do mixed wrestling sessions and other styles of fighting too! :-)
Ironically, Punk's blog complains about rudeness and incivility in our community (from men who have not responded to messages). Hmmmmmm???? Choosing not respond is rude and yet slagging off women wrestlers is acceptable?
Yeah, I dont understand why anyone should dislike or perhaps fear (?) women so much. Perhaps Punk is courting controversy but I dont see much beyond a prejudiced tirade about women wrestlers who, ergo, must be dykes bent on world domination. Surely, you can learn from your own experience as a gay man what it's like to be the subject of prejudice? The hateful attitude sounds rather like some really stuffy, sexually repressed, macho dingbat from Victorian times. That thinking went out with the ark.
I'm coming on this topic kind of late I believe, but the day that any kind of women's wrestling is included with men - and esp. gay men, is the day I'm history. Women have taken over our gyms, they know run professional sports locker rooms (although let a man be in a woman's locker room - my god, he's be arrested). It's a huge reason I left organized leather organizations because women forced their way into that as well. The few weenies that will allow this (like the Golden Gate Wrestling club which to me is a joke), then they have lost any credibility. If women want to band together and do their thing, fine, but when men feel they need to recommend, support, incorporate or other mix with women or their groups, youve lost a good percentage of real men. Most of these dykes or whatever you call them, want is to prove a point and show you they're better than you. Pity the poor sucker who buys into that trap. Count me gone the day "mixed" wrestling ever becomes a reality in men/gay mens wrestling.
Hey Sturdy, good point and as picked up in one of yer blogs. I was thinking maybe as a rule the height and weight fing might apply but cunning and skill can go a long way. Just look at The Robster of England (Wriggler). Ok, fairly tall but a very lean guy and just clever and awesome! One of these days, I am gonna get good and whupp the ass off "Physical" who, like the Incredible Hulk, is abt ten feet tall and whose thighs are probably wider than my chest! Tho he's not green but he will be by the time I've had him!
Seriously though fella, I think Pippa, who runs the Wrestling Factory in Manchester (a women's wrestle gym), might be able to help you. I swear she has wrestled men and is really adept. For details of the place, look on the events page of this site Open Wrestle event on Sat 7 August or just Google 'Pippa's wrestling factory Manchester' or something like that and Bob's yer Auntie. Her website does allow peole to leave messages, of course.

Seriously, anyone who starts picking on other members for any reason, be it sex, religion, orientation, is not welcome here. Good riddance.

... which is not always enough if the woman is a VERY good fighter.
I reckon I'm a pretty good wrestler but I don't doubt Pippa could probably whup my ass without even smudging her mascara...
