Good stuff. I am holding down training three times a week but had to let things slip this week because of job interviews, only rolling once this week. Suppose it's better than nothing!
keep on training round 8 times per week BJJ, competing at the Europeans, and at the Worlds... and staying feeling gifted to train this great sport... called chess on the mat, there s always a learning...
To stop relying so much on turtle.
Get better at turning being passed to my advantage.
Stop relying so much on ankle locks when my opponent has my back.
Become more aggressive when I'm tired.
Better precision/ control with sambo style ankle locks.
Get my black belt in BJJ (currently 4 stripe brown).
Good topic!! Rather than have a specific target I think I just want to generally improve, and this is what I have in mind :-
1) to identify the areas that I really need to work on: attacking from below while opponent is in guard, armbars and triangles immediately spring to mind, and really drill these areas to improve technique.
2) keep going 3 times a week, which includes 2 morning classes at 7am and either a Friday night or Saturday morning class. This seems to be working for me so I just have to keep it up!
I'm a patient pup, training 4-5 days a week now and still maintaining my Max Effort in the 1425lb club, the intersection point is closer than you think.

07/1/2017 09:23Is too late to add another in? I'm going to try to make it to one no-gi class once a month, just to see if it helps with general grappling.

02/1/2017 08:201) significantly improve my takedowns
2) tap a black belt at least once
3) bring home at least four 1st place trophies for my division from a reasonably well-populated tournament
4) win one absolute division in a reasonably well-populated tournament
5) average 8 or more hours of training per week

Dear Mini Tank,
I think the idea of this thread was BJJ goals for
2017, not "BJJ Dreams and Fantasies" for 2017.
Love,

Dear Pup,
I've forgotten more jiujitsu than you'll learn in the next two years. Pipe down and let the grown ups talk.
Love,
Tank

The intersection is quite a ways off; you're actually on an expressway, and there's an ass-kicking you have to go though before the next exit.
