Yes there are the occasional ones. I have come across two within 20 kms of here. Both younger…who isn’t…and one trained at the club I go to but has stopped.
The extreme ageism on this site makes finding training partners locally and from visitors very difficult. Have had mats since 4/2 and little luck finding training partners here. At the BJJ gym (om temp hiatus due upcoming umbilical hernia surgery thus on eon one practice avoiding knee on belly type moves would really help until then) no one cares about age and in 12 years of bjj only once has someone refused to work with me due age.
Any guys around the SGV/LA area interested in training? Would love to meet guys to practice techniques. I am a bjj white belt with lots of experience in no GI. Would love to find guys into wrestling, no Gi and Gi bjj, and any other martial arts style.
Glad to practice with you on a limited basis should u visit Las Vegas. Have mats and there is 24/7 bus service from the Strip to within a block of my place.
